“Therefore consider carefully how you listen. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what he thinks he has will be taken from him. – Luke 8:18"
Jesus tells us to CAREFULLY listen to His Word. If you heed and obey the right meaning of His Words you bear fruit and thus be among those who “have.” Then you will be given riches eternal.
However for those who, in their own wisdom think they have it figured out, then even what they think they “have” will be removed from them, and they will be left with nothing into eternity.

I used to believe that God justified me on a “see-saw” basis. if my good deeds would outweigh my bad deeds, I’d be justified. But the problem is that even my good deeds are defective and never done through the perfect righteousness demanded and supplied by God in Christ.
“God has a totally different way of saving sinners than by weighing their deeds. There is no hope in our deeds….there is no salvation by balancing the records. There is only salvation by cancelling records.” – John Piper – The Passion of Jesus Christ
It’s not about me balancing my record in my works, but it Christ cancelling my record on the cross.

This is only a test for a LiveWriter to Twitter plugin
Ok…it works, but it only publishes the fact that you have a new blog post. Big deal.

Some very nice quotes from Spurgeon on anxiety…I think I post about Spurgeon so much – I wish he had his own Twitter account.
“The lot is cast into the lap, but the whole disposing thereof is of the Lord.” – Pro_16:33
If the disposal of the lot is the Lord’s whose is the arrangement of our whole life? If the simple casting of a lot is guided by him, how much more the events of our entire life-especially when we are told by our blessed Saviour: “The very hairs of your head are all numbered: not a sparrow falleth to the ground without your Father.”
“Be wise and attend to the obeying, and let Christ manage the providing.”

Pro 15:16 Better is a little with the fear of the LORD …
…than great treasure and trouble with it.

![prayer[1] prayer[1]](http://thefilter.info/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/prayer1_thumb.jpg)
When was the last time you refused to leave God’s “throne of grace” until all your desires, hopes, dreams, and wants were spread before Him like an open book?
When was the last time you poured your heart out to Him until you had nothing left to pour out? I love today’s quote from Spurgeon’s “Morning and Evening” on the importance of going to the Lord with ALL of your needs in prayer:
"If all these things are to be had by merely knocking at mercy’s door, O my soul, knock hard this morning, and ask large things of thy generous Lord. Leave not the throne of grace till all thy wants have been spread before the Lord, and until by faith thou hast a comfortable prospect that they shall be all supplied. No bashfulness need retard when Jesus invites. No unbelief should hinder when Jesus promises. No cold-heartedness should restrain when such blessings are to be obtained.”

Hooked up with Google Wave and Google voice this week. My whole life is being moved to a server somewhere. I’m probably going to regret this stuff later!
